Using A Prepaid Card With Cash App
Is it possible to do this?
This article will help us find the answer to a question commonly asked by Cash App users and that is: can you use a prepaid credit card or a prepaid debit card with Cash App?
If you don’t have Cash App yet, click on the link that the description of the video at the bottom of this article contains, as it has a referral code with which you can get $5 from Cash App after performing a transaction. Check out the Cash App Referral Code ($5 Promo Code) article to find out more about this. Or just type Cash App into your App Store or Google Play search bar, look for the green icon with the dollar sign and download it.
Back to our question, can a prepaid credit card or prepaid debit card be used with Cash App? The short answer is no. Cash App does not support prepaid credit, debit cards, ATM cards or business credit cards. Cash App only allows funding the account with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards and with bank accounts.
If you would like to verify this information, go through the following steps:

2) Scroll down until you get to a section called Funds.
As you can see there are no places for a prepaid card to be entered. The two options to fund your account are either going to be with:
a) Bank Account. The funds are going to go directly from your bank to your Cash App balance.
b) Credit Card. An actual credit card with a verified social security number, such as the regular ones mentioned before: Visa, Mastercard and etcetera, not prepaid cards.
This is kind of unfortunate as prepaid cards are quite popular nowadays, and they are an easy way to pay for online purchases. Maybe at one point or another, Cash App might offer that service where you can install your prepaid debit or credit card. But, as of this day, Cash App will ask for your banking information, so you’ll only be able to fund your account with a credit card or with your bank account. Once again, it’s not possible to use prepaid credit or debit cards with Cash App.
