Does Walmart Take Apple Pay?
In this article I'll be discussing Apple Pay, and whether or not it can be used for purchases at Walmart.
Apple Wallet Pay is an app on iPhones where you can store several different cards and credit cards, and then at stores you can actually pay using just your phone rather than the physical, plastic card. So let's go ahead and talk about whether this is an option at Walmart.

- So the short answer is no, Walmart does not accept Apple Pay.
- It's a little inconvenient that they don't just because it's nice to not have to carry a wallet, with all of my cards being stored on the phone.
- Below is a photo of the terminal at Walmart. Now it does look like a fairly new one so you would think that it is able to accept Apple Pay, but unfortunately it does not. If it did, typically all you would have to do is bring the card up on your Apple Pay Wallet that you want to use and then tap the terminal with your phone.
In doing some research, I did find that Walmart has their own system called Walmart Pay which allows you to pay at their store using your phone. This could possibly be one reason why they do not accept Apple Pay, as it could compete against the system that they are rolling out. Whatever the reason is, at this time Apple Pay cannot be used as a payment method at Walmart.
