Cashing Out in Cash App
Today we are going to talk about the Cash App. More specifically, in this article, I’m going to show you how to cash out if someone has sent you money through Cash App.
I will take you through step by step on how to withdraw money from your Cash App to your bank account.
Let's go ahead and get started.
Steps to Cash Out
I'm going to assume that you've already downloaded the Cash App. I'm not going to walk through that since I already did that in detail on a previous article. If you need to download it, you just have to go to the App Store, search for the App, click ‘download’ and it will walk you through the installation process. It’s a pretty simple process.
There's not a lot to Cash App, it's basically just to transfer money around. In order to remove the cash from your Cash App, you need to have a bank account attached.

- Add or replace a bank account
I have both my Chase, debit card, and my Chase Bank account connected. If you want to withdraw the money from your Cash App and put into your bank, you must have your bank account added to the App. To connect your bank account to your Cash App, tap the menu icon, get the option to add a bank account and then select from a long list of common bank accounts that people use with Cash App.
With your bank accounts already there, you can remove or replace an existing bank account. Just “Replace bank”, and as you can see, you'll just find your bank and then just follow the prompts. You will have to key in your bank information in order for it to be connected to the Cash App.
Once you have your bank account attached to the Cash App, you can withdraw the money that someone sent to you, which is a pretty easy task as demonstrated here below.
- Select cash out and the amount you want to cash out
The cash out option gives you the go-ahead step of transferring part or whole of the monies already available in your Cash App.
Personally, I find Cash App very convenient to me when paying bills or people. As a result, I prefer ensuring that I have some money on my Cash App. I'm therefore going to pull just $5 out for the sake of this guideline. You can pull up more if you opt to depending on how much money you have in your Cash App. Use the available slide button to slide right or left to your desired amount. Once you are sure to have selected the correct amount you want to transfer, click cash out and boom! You are good to go.
- ,Select mode of deposit
I'm going to do instant. Once I press on Instant it recognizes my thumbprint, because it is attached to it, before it makes any changes, and boom, all of a sudden $4.92 was instantly deposited to my bank account, that is, to the bank account that I have associated with this app right now.
- Confirm Receipt in your bank account
Having the money deposited into my Chase Bank account makes it real-time. We can easily confirm the credibility of the entire process by checking the time shown in my account in comparison to the time in my Cash App, and ending account number up there.
This is a simple guideline on how to transfer money from your Cash App to your bank account. The process is very easy and pretty fast.
