1) Open the Green Dot app and login

2) Click on the Chat feature to speak with a representative.
3) In the Chat, let them know that you would like to close your account. They will then close your account immediately.
- One other way that you could close your account is by calling the customer service number on the back of the card.
Do note that if you still have funds in the account when you close it, you are able to continue using the card like normal until the funds run out, then the card will no longer be usable. Also, if you ever do want to use Green Dot again, this specific account will be closed, so you will need to go through the process of purchasing a new one and activating it again.
