Basically, Cash App helps you send money back and forth to your friends, family and different people. There are two scams which people usually ask about and we will be particularly analyzing them.
Scam #1: Cash App Money Flips
The first one is the Cash App Money flips. The concept of this scam is, let’s say, that you send somebody 5 dollars, then this person tells you that he or she will flip that money through his or her app and that he or she will send you back 50 dollars. This scam usually involves “multiplying” the amount of money that you send, to then getting it sent back to you.
Sounds like a nice deal, right? But see what happens next. Once you have sent that person the money, they won’t sent you back anything, not even the amount that you sent at the beginning. And you must know that once you send money, it is impossible to retrieve it, Cash App doesn’t have refunds. So if you send money to one of these strangers, you’ll be basically giving it away.

Referral Codes
There’s only one way to generate profit in Cash App and it is through “Referral Codes”. When you create a Cash App account you can get this code, with which when you send someone 5 dollars, you get 5 dollars from Cash App and the person who you send money to gets them too, there’s more information about these referral codes on the video at the bottom of the article.

Scam #2: The Toll Free Customer Service Number
The second scam we will be talking about is related to the Cash App customer service contact information. Cash App doesn’t have any phone numbers available for customer service. You can’t really phone anybody if you need to solve a problem or if you have any kind of issue with the app, every problem or question related to Cash App is completely solved through the app.
Therefore, if you ever need help and want to reach out to customer service, you just need to follow these easy steps:
1) Go to Settings on you Cash App (top left corner).

2) Scroll down until you reach a section that says Cash Support, click there.
And that’s it, there it says “How can we help you?”, as you can see, there are no phone numbers.
Every issue that the customers may experience is solved through the app; probably they have an email address, but not a phone number.
So, back to the second scam, what happens is that whenever people have trouble with Cash App, they search for a customer service phone number and eventually, on YouTube and Google they find a fake number, they call this number and a scammer pretends to be part of the Cash App support team. And when you are getting help from someone who is part of the Support team, it is normal that they ask you your data and your account information.
Once you give your information to these fake “Cash App employees”, they start to transfer money out of your bank account as if they were you. So, if you find any of these “Cash App Support phone numbers”, please, do not call any of them. If you give your account information to these scammers, they will probably empty your bank account or your Cash App balance.
Once again, do not call any of the numbers that you find on the internet, it is just better if you ask for help directly in the Support Section that you can find inside Cash App.

Bonus Scam:
There’s an extra type of scam that I would like to mention. I have come across some comments on YouTube and other places where people mention that they are hackers or that they know hackers who could introduce a great amount of money into your Cash App balance. These so-called hackers will ask for your account information and just like in the second scam, if you give them your data, they will probably withdraw money from your Cash App and bank accounts and leave them in ceros.
So be careful and only get help from the official Cash App Support Team, do not fall for these frauds, take care of your money and your personal information. I hope this article was informative and saved someone from being scammed. Keep posted up for more articles and be sure to watch the video if you would like to know more about these Cash App scams:
